Affidavit of service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record. 2. Petitioner is claiming right of bargadar to cultivate the land in question. It is submitted that he is being threatened by the private respondents and his life is endangered. 3. State respondents and private respondents are represented by learned advocates. 4. Mr. Ghosh, learned advocate representing the private respondents disputes the right of the petitioner as bargadar over the land in question. 5. On behalf of State respondents it is submitted that the issue involved in this writ petition is civil in nature and present writ petition is not maintainable. 2 6. Having considered the respective submissions made on behalf of the parties it appears that issue centers around right to cultivate the land as bargadar adjudication of which needs to be made by an appropriate forum. It is submitted by the private respondents that such adjudication has also been made by the appropriate forum. 7. Be that as it may, it appears that the issue involved in this writ petition is civil in nature. Therefore, present writ petition is found to be not maintainable and same stands dismissed. 8. However, concerned police authorities are directed to maintain peace and tranquility at the place in question. 9.
