This is an application under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023 seeking pre-arrest bail by the petitioner namely Rupanjal Borthakur apprehending arrest in connection with Tezpur P.S. Case No. 470/2026 (G.R. Case No. 1065/2026) registered under Section 69 of the BNS, 2023. Page No.# 2/2 3. As per the allegation, the informant is a lady aged about 25 years and she was in relationship with the petitioner and in course of their relationship the informant has also become pregnant and the pregnancy was terminated at the request of the petitioner. Although the petitioner has repeatedly been promising to marry the informant, he has continued to deceive her and exploited the informant physically with the pretext to marry her. 4. The case diary is received and perused. Upon perusal of the same including the statement of the victim, it appears that the relationship of the victim and the petitioner was consensual and continued for about five years and the informant is a mature lady aged about 25 years. 5. Having regard to the above, the prayer for bail is allowed. Accordingly, in the event of his arrest in connection with the aforementioned case, he shall be released on bail on furnishing a bail bond of Rs. 50,000/- with one surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of the arresting authority. 6. It is provided that the petitioners shall appear before the I.O. within ten days from today. He shall not approach the victim or her family members or try to influence or intimidate any persons or witnesses acquainted with the facts of the case, in any manner. 7.
