Mrs. Uma Bhosale, A.P.P. for respondents-State. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- CORAM : SANDIPKUMAR C. MORE AND VAISHALI PATIL-JADHAV, JJ. DATED : 1st October, 2026 Per Court : 1. Heard. 2. By way of this petition, the petitioner is seeking quashment of letter/report dated 27.11.2023 issued by learned District Judge-1 and Additional Sessions Judge, Shrirampur, District Ahmednagar whereby the petitioner is refused for the benefit of Government Resolution dated 03.06.2017 issued on the occasion of 125th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. 3. It is to be noted that this Court has given the benefit to the concerned petitioners in so many judgments by observing that the nature of offence is not to be taken into consideration for refusing the said remission. Learned APP fairly submits (2) 954 Cri.WP-1216.2026.odt that the petitioner does not fall under any ineligibility for getting the said remission under the aforesaid Government Resolution. 4. In view of the same and in the light of earlier judgment of this Court in Criminal Writ Petition No. 1753 of 2025 and another connected matter, dated 12.03.2026, the petitioner is entitled for remission under the aforesaid Government Resolution Dated 03.06.2017 for the period of three months. Accordingly the petition is allowed in terms of prayer clause (B) and disposed of. (VAISHALI PATIL-JADHAV) (SANDIPKUMAR C. MORE) JUDGE JUDGE VD_Dhirde
