PATIL) This contempt petition is filed alleging willful disobedience of the order dated 22.08.2022 passed by the learned Single Judge in W.P.No.16489/2022. The operative portion of the said order reads as under: "4. Having regard to the prayer made in the writ petition and the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court is of the considered opinion that it is the bounden duty of the respondent-Tahsildar to consider the representations given by the petitioner, who, having acquired the land in question under a registered instrument, is seeking mutation and entry of the name of the petitioner in the land revenue records. The Tahsildar shall consider the representations in accordance with law - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:8679-DB C.C.C. No.4/2023 and pass necessary orders as expeditiously as possible and at any rate, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Ordered accordingly." 2. The respondent has filed an affidavit indicating that the name of the complainant has been restored, as ordered. 3. In view of the said affidavit, there is compliance of the order of the learned Single Judge, hence, the contempt proceedings are dropped. Notice issued to the accused stands discharged.
