THIS PETITION, COMING ON FOR ORDERS, THIS DAY, ORDER WAS MADE THEREIN AS UNDER: CORAM: HON'BLE MRS. JUSTICE ANU SIVARAMAN and HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE VIJAYKUMAR A. PATIL ORAL ORDER (PER: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE VIJAYKUMAR A. PATIL) This contempt petition is filed alleging the willful disobedience of the order of the learned Single Judge dated 20.09.2022 passed in WP.No.18720/2022. The operative portion of the order reads as under: "Consequently, the writ petition stands disposed of with a specific direction to the 4th respondent-Tahsildar, K.R.Pete Taluk, to prepare a report on the basis of the application filed by the - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:12110-DB C.C.C. No.50/2023 petitioner. The Tahsildar is directed to place the application of the petitioner before the Committee for regularization of unauthorized occupation within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Further, the Committee shall consider the application and pass necessary orders within a period of two months from the date when the application is placed by the Tahsildar before the Committee. Ordered accordingly." 2. In compliance of the directions issued, the Tahasildar has filed an affidavit. The paragraph No.4 of the affidavit reads as under: "I most respectfully submit that in the writ petition as well as in the order of the learned Single Judge, the application was described as one filed in Form-53 was examined from available documents from office records and found that Petitioner is already been granted 1 acre of land in Sy.No.70 Lingapura Village, Kikkeri Hobli, K.R.Pet Taluk vide bagair Hukum Committee approval dated 06.02.2004. Saguvali chit and RTC in corporation was subsequently done. The copy of said documents is produced herewith and marked as ANNEXURE-R1. I further respectfully submitted that the proceeding on the said description, my predecessor Tahasildar bona fide understood that the petitioner had filed an application in Form-53." 3. Learned AGA submits that the complainant has also filed Form No.57 under Section 94-A(4) of the - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:12110-DB C.C.C. No.50/2023 Karnataka Land Revenue Act, 1964 which has also been considered as per the prevailing rules and the same was rejected vide order dated 20.02.2026 at Annexure-R6. 4. Taking note of the affidavit and aforesaid order, we are of the view that order of the learned Single Judge has been complied with. Accordingly, the contempt proceedings are dropped.
