Heard Mr. D. Gogoi learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Ms. K. Phukan, learned Government Advocate for the Respondents. The writ petitioner before this Court is aggrieved by the non-release of his salary in respect of the post of Assistant Professor, Department of Assamese, Tezpur College. According to the petitioner a show-cause notice was issued to the petitioner for not having properly attended of “PM SHREE Gaonwe Gaonwe Yoga Maha Abhijan” Basic Yoga Training Programme, and there was direction to the Treasure Officer not to release the salary. The petitioner responded to the show-cause notice, however no order was passed and the salary in respect of the petitioner was not released. This Court permitted the respondents to obtain required instructions in the matter. Page No.# 3/4 Today, Ms. K. Phukan, learned Government Advocate has placed before the Court a communication dated 15.07.2026, issued by the District Commissioner, Sonitpur, Tezpur to Treasury Officer, Sonitpur Treasury, giving a list of Assistant Professors, who had responded to the show-cause notices and whose cases has been duly examined and found to be satisfactory and the proceedings initiated against them stood disposed of. Accordingly, the Treasury Officer was requested to take necessary action for release of the salary of the Assistant Professors, whose names are mentioned in the said communication. The name of the petitioner is mentioned at Serial No. 11. Ms.
K. Phukan, learned Government Advocate submits that since the instructions have been already issued, the petitioner should be receiving his salary. A copy of the communication which has been placed before the Court is kept in the case record. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in view of the instructions placed before the Court, this writ petition may be disposed of directing the respondents to release the salary of the writ petitioner. Considering the submissions made and the instructions placed before the Court by the learned State Counsel, this writ petition stands disposed of. The Treasury Officer, Sonitpur Treasury will release the salary for the concerned months in terms of the communication No. E file no.-181355/761, dated 15.07.2026 in respect of the writ petitioner, namely Dr. Bitupan Dawo, who is employed as an Assistant Professor in Tezpur College.
