SRI ANANDA SEN, J. ------ For the Petitioner(s) : Mr. Rahul Kumar, Advocate For the Respondent(s) : Mr. Aman Kumar, AC to SC-VI. ----- 02/12.03.2026: Heard learned counsel for the parties.
2.
Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are constables and are working in the District of Giridih. It is their grievance that they are not getting the benefit of the recommendation of 7th Pay Revision Commission, whereas, similarly situated constables working in other districts of the State like Koderma, Hazaribagh, Chatra, Ranchi, Ramgarh are getting the benefit of the recommendation of 7th Pay Revision Commission. It is further their grievance that this act amounts to discrimination.

4. At this stage, by referring to Annexures- 7 and 8 of this writ petition,
learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners submits that in the District of Koderma, after this Court directed the respondent-State to consider the similar grievance of the constables of Koderma in WP(S) No. 2788 of 2024 (Sujeet Kumar Upadhyay and Ors. 4. Considering the submissions of the parties, I direct the petitioners to file fresh representation raising their claim before the Superintendent of Police, Giridih and claim parity. They will also annex copy of the order passed by this Court in WP(S) No. 2788 of 2024 (Sujeet Kumar Upadhyay and Ors. Vs. State of Jharkhand through Director General of Police and Ors.) and the consequential
order, which is at Annexure-8 of this petition passed in respect of the constables, who are serving in the District of Koderma. Once the representation(s) is filed within six weeks, the same will be considered and if it is found that the petitioners are entitled to get the benefit as per the recommendation of the 7th Pay Revision Commission and similarly situated police personnel in other districts are getting the benefit, the same should be extended to them keeping parity with other districts of the State. It is expected that the entire process will be completed within twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
6. Before parting, I direct the Director General of Police, Jharkhand to ensure that the benefit of the recommendation of 7th Pay Revision Commission be extended to all constables of other districts of the State also and they should not be forced to approach this Court.
7. With the aforesaid observation and direction, this petition stands
disposed of.
