JUSTICE KARDAK ETE ORDER Date : 09-09-2026 Heard Mr. S. C. Biswas, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. S. Baruah, learned State Counsel, for the respondent Nos. 1, 2 & 3 and Mr. R. K. Talukdar, learned Standing Counsel, Accountant General, Assam, for the respondent No. 4. 2. The petitioner is the unmarried daughter of Late Nityananda Borah, who was serving as an Inspector (Armed Branch) under the Assam Police and retired from service on 30.06.1992 on attaining the age of superannuation. He had expired on 25.11.2012. The petitioner has approached this Court seeking payment of family pension with effect from 25.11.2012. 3. Mr. Talukdar, learned Standing Counsel, Accountant General, Assam, by placing a copy of the order dated 02.02.2026, submits that during the pendency of the writ petition, the respondent authorities have issued the Family Pension Payment Order (FPPO) bearing No. 933422337355 in favour of the petitioner and the same has been forwarded to the Treasury Officer, Sonitpur, Tezpur, for necessary action and payment. 4. In view of the issuance and forwarding of the aforesaid FPPO in favour of the petitioner, the grievance raised in the present writ petition stands addressed. Accordingly, no issue survives for determination in the present writ petition. Page No.# 3/3 5. The writ petition, accordingly, stands closed. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to approach this Court again, if any occasion arises. 6.
