Gupta, learned counsel for the petitioners. Also heard Mr. K. K. Das, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State of Assam. 2. This is an application filed under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, in respect of Tengakhat P.S. Case No.65/2025 registered under Section 303(2)/325 of the BNS, read with Section 11(1)(a) of the Prevention of Cruelty of Animal Act and Section 13 of the Assam Cattle Preservation Act. 3. On the day of occurrence, 277 gms of beef meat was recovered from the possession of the petitioner. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner had purchased the meat for his consumption. 5. Under the given circumstances, this Court is of the opinion the petitioners (1). Md. Sahadul Khan and (2). Mr. Munu Khan does not deserve to be detained in custody for the allegation brought against him. 6. Therefore, this anticipatory bail application of the petitioners is allowed. 7. It is hereby directed that in the event of arrest in connection with Tengakhat P.S. Case No.65/2025, the petitioners (1). Md. Sahadul Khan and (2). Mr. Munu Khan shall be released on bail of Rs.20,000/- each with a surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the arresting authority. Page No.# 3/3 8. Both the petitioners shall co-operate with the Police investigation Officer as and when called for. 9. With the aforesaid direction, this anticipatory bail application stands disposed of.
