JUSTICE V.SUJATHA Writ Petition No: 8569 OF 2026 O R D E R: The present Writ Petition came to be filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following relief: “to issue an appropriate Writ, Order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Quo Warranto declaring that Respondent No.6 has no legal authority to continue as the Commissioner of the Respondent No.6 Corporation in view of Andhra Pradesh Municipal Administration Service Rules, 1990 and GO.Rt.No.679 Municipal Administrative and Urban Development Department dated 15.07.2025 and consequently quash the appointment of the respondent No.6 as the Commissioner of the respondent No.5 Corporation from 15.07.2025 and discontinue him in the said post and recover the difference of pay from his original post of Assistant Director in Horticulture Department and pass such other order or order..” 2. Today, when the Writ Petition came up for admission, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Respondent No. 3 furnished a copy of G.O. Rt. No. 456 dated 22.04.2026, which discloses that the unofficial respondent/Respondent No.6, who is presently working as Municipal Commissioner, Kadiri Municipality, has been repatriated to his parent department, i.e., the Horticulture Department, with immediate effect. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that, in view of G.O. Rt. No. 456 dated 22.04.2026, no further cause survives for adjudication in this Writ Petition. 4 4. Recording the same, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs.
