Mr. Ashok Pandey Mr. Sudipta Nayan Ghosh … for the respondent no. 5 The grievance of the petitioner is directed against inaction of the CESC Ltd. in providing a separate and new electricity connection to the premises of the petitioner. On behalf of private respondent, it is submitted that they have no objection if a separate electricity connection is provided to the petitioner in his portion of the premises. On behalf of CESC Ltd., it is submitted that they have no objection in providing a separate and new electricity connection to the premises of the petitioner. In such circumstances, WPA 5675 of 2026 stands disposed of by directing the CESC Ltd. to provide a separate and new electricity connection to the premises of the petitioner. It is clarified that the meter room and all necessary apparatus would be installed in the 2 portion of the premises where the petitioner resides. It is also clarified that the private respondents will not oppose the installation of such connection in the premises of the petitioner. Needless to mention that the petitioner has to comply with all statutory formalities and make payment of all necessary charges. The above exercise would have completed preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of passing of this order. Liberty is granted to the CESC Ltd. to avail of police assistance, if the circumstances so warrant. The payment of any charges for police assistance would be exclusively borne by the petitioner.
