This is an application under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023 whereby the petitioner, Jakir Ali is seeking Anticipatory Bail apprehending arrest in connection with an FIR dated 06.07.2026, which is registered as Hajo Police Page No.# 2/2 Station case No. 304/2026 registered under Sections 303(2)/317(2) of BNS, 2023 read with Section 11(1) (d) Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960, read with Section 13(1) of the Assam Cattle Preservation Act, 2021, read with Section 192 (a) of the Motor Vehicle Act (Corresponding G.R. No. 355/2026). 3. As per the allegations, a truck loaded with cattle was found in an abandoned condition and the driver and the handyman were absent. Later on, 2 (two) persons approached the police and sought to take custody of the vehicle along with the cattle by offering money to the police. The said 2 (two) persons were arrested and taken into custody. 4. Pursuant to the interim protection, the petitioner had appeared before the I.O. and his statement has been recorded and subsequently, the charge sheet has already been submitted. The certified copy of which is placed before the Court, and kept as a part of record of this case. 5. Having regard to the above, the prayer for pre-arrest bail is allowed and the interim order dated 27.07.2026 is hereby made absolute with the same terms and conditions as indicated in the interim order itself. 6.
