The petitioner – student has approached this Court seeking direction to respondent No.1 - Scheduled Tribe Caste Certificate Scrutiny Committee, Amravati, for expeditious disposal of the caste claim of the petitioner pertaining to the ‘Mana’ Scheduled Tribes. 3. The contention is that the petitioner had submitted his caste claim to respondent No.1 – Committee on 04.06.2026, The acknowledgment is at Record Page No.18. Though the caste claim is submitted recently, in June, 2026, the petitioner has approached this Court seeking direction to respondent No.1 – Committee for expeditious disposal of the aforesaid verification proceedings, in view of the fact that the petitioner has been admitted in respondent No.2 – Indian 2 112. WP 6470.26.odt Institution of Information Technology (IIIT), Kota (Rajasthan) in Reserved Category. The aforesaid admission is subject to the condition that the petitioner shall produce the validity certificate towards the ‘Mana’ Scheduled Tribe as early as possible and within six months. 4. In view of the aforesaid contingency, we are of the considered opinion that the caste claim of the petitioner needs to be decided expeditiously, as failure to submit the validity certificate within the stipulated period would result in the cancellation of the admission of the petitioner, as mentioned in the seat allotment letter, which is at record Page No.26, Annexure 7. 5. Shri Thakre, learned AGP, upon instructions, submits that respondent No.1 – Committee shall decide the caste claim of the petitioner within a period of three months from today. 6. In view of the above, we dispose of the present Writ Petition in the following terms:- I. Respondent No.1 – Committee shall decide the caste claim of the petitioner towards ‘Mana’ Scheduled Tribe within a stipulated period of three months from today. II. The petitioner is directed to co-operate with respondent No.1 – Committee in the aforesaid adjudication proceedings without seeking any unnecessary adjournment. 3 112. WP 6470.26.odt III. Respondent No.2 is directed not to take any coercive step against the petitioner during the pendency of the aforesaid caste claim for want of validity certificate.
