The petitioner is an accused in the case registered under Sections 317(5) and 3(5) of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023; Section 12(1)(2)(3) of Jharkhand Bovine Animal Prohibition of Slaughter Act, 2005; and Section 11 of Prevention of Cruelty to Animal Act, 1960. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the present case and has not committed any offence as alleged in the first information report. As per the allegation, nine bovine animals were being transported by a pick-up van bearing Registration No.JH-01-EU-6969 for slaughtering. The petitioner was the cleaner of the said pick-up van. In fact, the petitioner was not at all involved in commission of the offence as alleged. He has been implicated in the present case only on suspicion. The charge sheet has already been submitted in this case. The petitioner is in judicial custody since 30th October, 2025 and has no criminal antecedent. Hence, he may be given the privilege of regular bail. 3. Learned APP opposes the petitioner’s prayer for regular bail. 4. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and considering the materials available on record, the petitioner is directed to be released 2026:JHHC:4046 2 on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount, each, to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ranchi in connection with Dhurwa (Hatia) P.S.
