1. Learned ASC appearing on behalf of the State submits that as of now, on the basis of the threat assessment, the petitioner has already been provided the necessary security arrangement. In paragraph no.9 of the status report filed by the State, following position has been taken:-
“9. That the petitioner had also submitted representations seeking police protection. The threat perception of the petitioner was duly examined by the competent police authorities and, considering the prevailing circumstances, one police official has been deployed for the safety and security of the petitioner during daytime hours. Regular police patrolling is also being carried out in the area and the threat perception is under continuous review by the competent authority.”
2. Having considered the overall facts and circumstances, the Court finds that if the petitioner seeks for any further security arrangement, the respondents are directed to consider the same on payment basis. 3. Let the petitioner to file an appropriate application in relation thereto. If the petitioner does so, let the same be considered in accordance with law.
