He was transferred from Khatima, District Udham Singh Nagar to Tanakpur, District Champawat, vide order dated 07.08.2024. Feeling aggrieved, he filed this writ petition. 3. Coordinate Bench of this Court passed an order on 13.08.2024 staying the effect and operation of the impugned transfer order, pursuant to which, petitioner is still serving at Khatima. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is now at the verge of retirement. 4. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with liberty to petitioner to make representation against his transfer. If he makes representation within two weeks from today, decision thereupon shall be taken, as 2026:UHC:707 per law, within eight weeks thereafter. 5. For a period of ten weeks or till decision is taken, whichever is earlier, status quo, qua petitioner’s posting shall be maintained.
