Sinha, A.P.P. --------- 07/26.03.2026 Heard Mr. Abhay Kumar Chaturvedy, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P. for the State. The petitioner is an accused in connection with Gumla P.S. Case No. 146 of 2025. It has been alleged that the Police had apprehended three persons from two vehicles including the petitioner and a country made pistol with cartridge and brown sugar have recovered from the vehicles. Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioner that saves and except the petitioner all the co-accused persons have been granted bail. It has been submitted that the petitioner is in custody since 10.05.2025 and the quantity of brown sugar recovered from the vehicle is an intermediary quantity. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner. It appears that apart from the recovery of 248 grams of brown sugar from the vehicle in which the petitioner was travelling; the petitioner has several criminal antecedents under the NDPS Act.
