None appears for the petitioner. 2. The present contempt petition has been filed alleging non-compliance of the interim order dated 28.01.2026, whereby respondent No. 2 was directed to consider and attend to the registration of the petitioner in accordance with law. 3. Compliance report has been filed on behalf of the respondents. It is stated therein that the case of the petitioner was duly examined and scrutinized. Upon such scrutiny, the sale deed in question was not found fit for registration under the provisions of the Registration Act, 1908, and accordingly a refusal order came to be passed. It is further stated that the refusal order was passed after taking into consideration the provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Immovable Property (Preservation, Protection and Restraint on Distress Sales) Act, 1997, which provide that no alienation of migrant property can be effected without obtaining the requisite permission 4. In view of the stand taken by the respondents in the compliance report no fruitful purpose would be served by keeping the present contempt petition pending. Accordingly, the proceedings in the present contempt petition are closed and the rule, if any, shall stand discharged. However, if the petitioner is aggrieved by the refusal order so passed, it shall be open to him to avail appropriate remedy as may be available under law.
