Heard both the sides. This bail application has been filed on behalf of Chandan Kumar Sinha who is in custody since 07.10.2025 in connection with Sahibganj (T) P.S. Case No. 164 of 2025 corresponding to GR Case No. 721 of 2025 for the offence registered under Sections 69, 318(4), 88, 115(2), 351(2) and 352 of the BNS and cognizance has been taken under Sections 69, 318(4), 115(2), 351(2) and 352 of BNS pending in the Court of CJM, Sahibganj, is pressed into motion. The instant case arises out of a complaint case which was filed by the prosecutrix aged 35 years. It is alleged that on a false promise of marriage petitioner sexually exploited her and also extorted a sum of Rs. 2,70,000/-. It is submitted by the learned counsel on behalf of petitioner that as per para- 2 of the complaint petition, the relationship commenced since 2019, whereas complaint case has been filed in 2025. There is no reference to date, time and place of the alleged offence. Learned A.P.P. for the State assisted by counsel appearing on behalf of the complainant have vehemently opposed the prayer for bail. Both the parties are major and the case has been lodged after an inordinate delay. Under the circumstances, the above-named petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/-(Twenty-Five Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Court below.
