This petition impugns the Office Order dated 21st July, 2026, whereby Respondent No. 1 rejected the Petitioner’s reply to the Show-Cause Notice dated 7th July, 2026 and directed recovery of an amount of INR 4,73,323/- from the Petitioner’s salary by effecting deductions to the extent of 2/3rd of his monthly salary. 2. At the outset, Mr. Anuj Aggarwal, counsel for the Petitioner, submits that the impugned order has been passed without affording the Petitioner an This is a digitally signed order. The Respondents fairly state that they are agreeable to give an opportunity of hearing before a fresh decision is taken. 3. In view of the stand taken by the parties, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the impugned Office Order dated 21st July, 2026 is set aside. The Petitioner’s reply to the Show-Cause Notice dated 07th July, 2026 shall be considered afresh after affording the Petitioner an opportunity of hearing, and a fresh reasoned order shall be passed, in accordance with law. 4. While passing the fresh order, the competent authority shall decide the matter independently and shall not be influenced by any observations or conclusions contained in the impugned order. All rights and contentions of the parties are kept open. 5. Since the impugned Office Order has been set aside, any amount deducted from the Petitioner’s salary pursuant thereto shall be released to the Petitioner. 6.
