2. This is an application filed under Section BNSS by the accused/petitioner
Page No.# 2/2 praying for grant of bail being arrested on 08.07.2026 in connection with Barpeta P.S. Case No. 244/26 u/s 20(b)(ii)(B)/25 of the NDPS Act.
3. The case is registered under Section 20(b)(ii)(B)/25 of the NDPS Act. Pertaining to an intermediate quantity, the period of statutory detention is 60 days. The petitioner has been behind bars for 62 days, and it is submitted by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that the charge sheet is yet to be submitted.
4. Having regard to the above, the petitioner is entitled to default bail.
5. Accordingly, the petitioner shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bail bond of Rs. 50,000/- with two sureties of the like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Additional CJM, Barpeta under Section 20(b)(ii)(B)/25 of the NDPS Act.
