JUSTICE SURAJ GOVINDARAJ ORAL ORDER 1. The petitioner is before this Court, seeking for the following reliefs: "a. Issue a direction or writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the representation dtd: 08.03.21 vide Annexure-N in respect of petitioner is concerned. b. Issue such other direction which the Hon'ble Court deems fit under the circumstances of the case, in the interest of justice and equity. 2. A representation had been submitted by the petitioner on 08.03.2021 to provide a pathway to the petitioner to reach the main road, which was not being considered. 3. On enquiry it is submitted that the said representation is yet to be considered even after a lapse of nearly five (5) years. 4. Whenever any representation is submitted by a citizen to the concerned Authority, it is required that the same be considered and necessary orders be - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:10091 WP No. 21366 of 2021 passed within a reasonable period of time, either accepting or rejecting the representation, in either case to be accompanied by reasons. 5. In the present matter, neither has been done. Hence, I pass the following: ORDER i. The petition is allowed; ii. A mandamus is issued directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 08.03.2021 at Annexure-N and pass necessary orders within a period of thirty (30) days from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.
