CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE MANOJ JAIN

27.07.2026
1. Applicant seeks quashing of FIR No. 299/2026 dated 09.06.2026 registered at PS Binda Pur, for commission of offence under Section 318(4) of Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023 (corresponding Section 420 IPC)
2. The abovesaid FIR has been registered against the applicant at the instance of his wife who claims that her signatures have been forged by her husband and, based on such forged signatures, loan has been taken in her name.
3.
Learned counsel for petitioner submits that there are two loan documents and, in none of such loan documents, there are any signatures of his wife and, therefore, the complaint is blatantly false.
4. However, if that is the actual picture, it is not comprehensible as to why, the petitioner has not assisted the investigation and has not submitted all such documents to the concerned Police Officer for proper investigation and scrutiny.
5. After hearing arguments for some time, learned counsel for petitioner, without prejudice to his rights and contentions, does not press the present petition and submits that he would hand over all the requisite documents in this regard to the concerned Police Officer within a week. 6. He, however, seeks liberty to approach this Court again, in case, despite such submission of the documents his version is not accepted.
7. Petition is, accordingly, disposed of, as not pressed.
8. All rights and contentions of the parties are reserved.
9. Liberty, as prayed, is granted.
