2. This present contempt petition is filed alleging willful and deliberate violation of this court’s order dated 20.12.2024, passed in WP(C) No.6837/2024.
3. By the aforesaid order, this court directed the District Commissioner, Hojai to pass a speaking order on an application filed by the petitioner dated 10.10.2024. It was further provided that any such order, that is passed by the District Commissioner, Hojai, a copy thereof shall be served to the petitioner. It was also observed that while disposing of the representation of the petitioner, the provision of section 21(A) Act, 1908 shall be duly taken note off.
4. The respondent has filed an affidavit bringing on record a speaking order dated 24.08.2026, pursuant to this court’s order dated 20.12.2024 (supra).
5. In view of the aforesaid, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the order stands complied with.
6. Accordingly, the contempt petition stands closed.
7. It is needless to say that the petitioner shall be at liberty to assail the order dated 24.08.2026, passed by the District Commissioner, Hojai pursuant to this court’s order dated 20.12.2024 (supra), before the appropriate forum, if aggrieved. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
