This bail application has been filed on behalf of Mithilesh Singh @ Mithilesh Kumar Singh @ Mithlesh Kumar Singh @ Mithlesh Singh who is in custody since 11.08.2025 in connection with S.T. Case No. 317 of 2025 arising out of Rajpur P.S. Case No. 55 of 2025 for the offence registered under Sections 80(2) and 61(2) of the BNS, 2023 (Cognizance has been taken under Section 108 of the BNS, 2023) pending in the Court of learned Addl. Sessions Judge-II Chatra, is pressed into motion. It is submitted by the learned counsel on behalf of petitioner that the case was initially lodged under Section 80(2) and 61(2) of the BNS, 2023. However, after investigation charge sheet has been submitted for abetment to commit suicide under Section 108 of the BNS, 2023, thus allegation of dowry demand has not been substantiated during trial. It is also submitted that the deceased had lived in her matrimonial home for six months. Learned A.P.P. for the State assisted by counsel appearing on behalf of the informant opposed the prayer for bail. Under the circumstances, the above-named petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/-(Twenty-Five Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Court below.
