According to the petitioner, even though summons was issued to the petitioner and survey was also conducted, no further steps have been taken by the respondent in respect of his application seeking for transfer of patta in his name. Only under those circumstances, this writ petition has been filed. 3.Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondent. 4.The petitioner has filed supporting documents along with this writ petition in support of his application seeking for transfer of patta in his favour for the property, morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the same. 5.No prejudice would be caused to the respondent if the petitioner’s application, as stated supra, is considered, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner and after hearing all the necessary parties, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 13435 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 4 6.This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner’s application. 7.For the foregoing reasons, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent to pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner’s application dated 26.08.2022 bearing Application No.70 seeking for transfer of patta in his name for the property, morefully described in the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner and after hearing all the necessary parties, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
