Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Standing Counsel. 3. By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner has prayed for following relief as substantial relief: "(1) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to issue police clearance certificate to the petitioner on the application for PCC bearing Application Reference No. (ARN) 26- 0076131252 dated 27.08.2026 so as to enable the petitioner to process visa formalities, ignoring the pendency of criminal case bearing case crime no. 0082 of 2024, under section 498A, 323, 506 I.P.C. & % D.P. Act, P.S. Sikariganj, District- Gorakhpur, registered/ pending against the petitioner." 4. According to the instructions, the Police Clearance Certificate has been declined on the ground that the petitioner is already facing a criminal case. 5. In these circumstances, no direction can be issued. 6.
