Baishya, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State respondent. 2. This application under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023 is preferred praying for granting pre-arrest bail to the accused-applicant in connection with Dhubri Page No.# 2/3 Police Station Case No. 252/2026 (corresponding to G.R. No. 783/2026) under Sections 61(2)/318(2)/336(3)/148/3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. 3. An FIR was lodged on 07.07.2026 by one Raju Roy, Building Inspector before the Officer-In-Charge of Dhubri Police Station, alleging, inter-alia that the informant is a Building Inspector in the Office of Chairman, Dhubri Gauripur Development Authority. It is alleged that on 07.07.2026 at about 11.00 AM, during scrutiny of office records, the NOC for sale of land submitted by one Amzad Hussain, was found suspicious. The signature purportedly of the Chairman and the NOC’s format displayed anomalies and the memo number did not match with their office register. It is alleged that on calling Amzad Hussain to the office, he stated that the accused No. 1 and the accused No. 2 had supplied the forged NOC instead of the original after accepting Rs.57,500/- (Rupees Fifty Seven Thousand and Five Hundred) from the informant. It is alleged that both the accused persons told him that the NOC was original and genuine. It is alleged that the accused persons have created false documents and forged signatures for wrongful gain, affecting Government records and revenue. It is alleged that similar illegal activities appeared to have been carried out by the same persons for past 6-7 months and the criminal nexus created a mammoth forgery and also cheated gullible people. It is alleged that these offences strike at the national interests and the economy of the State, which is against the Nation. 4. On receipt of the FIR, the Police registered Dhubri Police Station Case No. 252/2026 under the aforementioned Sections. 5. Ms. Kour, learned counsel for the accused submits that the co-accused in the instant has already been granted bail by this Court. She also submits that the accused-applicant is willing to cooperate with the investigation and Page No.# 3/3 therefore, he should be granted pre-arrest bail in the instant case. 6. This Court has heard the submissions made by learned counsel for both the parties, and taking into account the facts as well as allegations in the FIR, this Court is not inclined to grant pre-arrest bail to the accused accused- applicant. 7.
