Page No.# 2/2 Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam. This is an application filed under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023 whereby the petitioners (1) Joyful Bibi and (2) Meher Bhanu have prayed for releasing him on bail after they were arrested in connection with Paltanbazar P.S. Case No. 18/2026. On the day of occurrence, one person ordered chicken in a restaurant. While eating the chicken, he suspected that it was not chicken. On enquiry, he discovered that he was served with beaf. The restaurant is owned by Johar Ali, who is the son of the petitioner no. 1. On the basis of the FIR, petitioners were arrested by Police. I have considered the submissions made by the learned counsel for both the sides. Petitioners have already undergone 15 days in judicial custody. Under the given circumstances, the petitioners do not deserve to be detained in custody any longer. Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioners is allowed. Accordingly, the petitioners, (1) Joyful Bibi and (2) Meher Bhanu, who are in custody in connection with Paltanbazar P.S. Case No. 18/2026 are allowed to go on bail of Rs.20,000/- each with one surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kamrup (M), Guwahati. With the above, the bail application is disposed of.
