This is an application filed under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023 praying Page No.# 2/3 for grant of pre-arrest bail to the accused petitioner namely Sirajul Islam, in connection with Changsari P.S. Case No. 170/2026 registered under Section 303(2) of the BNS, 2023, r/w Section 11(1)(a) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animal Act, 1960, r/w Section 13(1) of Assam Cattle Preservation (Amendment) Act, 2021. 3. As per the FIR, the petitioner is the owner of the vehicle in which 21 nos of cattle were being transported, and the said vehicle was apprehended by the police. 4. The Case Diary called for has been received. 5. It appears that therefrom, and as submitted by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, that the petitioner was the owner of the vehicle, which he had hired out of his relatives. 6. Pursuant to the interim protection granted by this Court, the petitioner has appeared before the I.O. and his statement has been recorded. 7. Having regard to the above, the prayer for pre-arrest bail is allowed. The interim bail order dated 24.08.2026 is hereby made absolute. 8. The bail petition stands allowed and disposed of.
