Briefly stated, the allegations in the FIR arise out of a commercial transaction relating to the supply of luxury watches and branded sneakers. It is alleged that payments were made by Respondent No. 2 towards the supply of the said goods, however, the goods were not delivered and the amount was not fully refunded. During the pendency of the proceedings, the parties amicably resolved all their disputes and executed an Agreement of Settlement, Discharge and Release dated 30.03.2026, whereby they agreed to settle all claims arising out of the subject transaction. 7. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the dispute between the petitioner and Respondent No. 2 has been amicably settled in terms of the Agreement of Settlement, Discharge and Release dated 30.03.2026. It is further submitted that Respondent No. 2 does not wish to pursue the present FIR any further. 8. On a query made by this Court, Respondent No. 2, who has been duly identified by the Investigating Officer, states that he has received the settlement amount in terms of the settlement and has entered into the compromise voluntarily, without any force, coercion or undue influence. He further states that he has no objection if the present FIR and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. 9. In view of the fact that the parties have amicably resolved all their disputes of their own free will and Respondent No. 2 has no objection to the quashing of the FIR, no useful purpose would be served by permitting the criminal proceedings to continue. Rather, continuation thereof would only prolong unnecessary litigation between the parties.
