According to the petitioner, he participated in the movement which led to creation of State of Uttarakhand. Thus, he is entitled to benefit available to Rajya Andolankari in State services. A certificate that he is Rajya Andolankari, was issued to him by the competent authority, which is on record as Annexure-2 to the writ petition. 3. Petitioner responded to an advertisement, issued in 2011 by Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education, Dehradun for the post of Junior Clerk in Transport Department; case of the petitioner is that even though he scored sufficiently high marks which would have entitled him for appointment against a vacancy reserved for Rajya Andolankari and his name was also recommended by selecting body to the appointing authority. However, in the meantime, Division Bench of this Court passed an order, pursuant to which appointment was denied to him. 4. According to the petitioner, two persons 2026:UHC:892 who are similarly situate, were offered appointment against vacancies reserved for Rajya Andolankari, therefore, he has approached this Court, seeking a writ of mandamus to the competent authority to consider his claim for appointment. 5. Learned counsel for the petitioner has drawn attention of this Court to the representation made by petitioner on 09.10.2025 which is on record as Annexure-7 to the writ petition. 6. He submits that the competent authority be directed to take decision on the representation within a time frame. 7. State Counsel submits that he has no objection if the writ petition is disposed of in terms of the prayer made by petitioner’s counsel. 8. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of with direction to the competent authority to take decision on the representation submitted by petitioner within six weeks.
