For the respondents : Mr. Rahul Thakur, Additional Advocate General. Ajay Mohan Goel, Judge (Oral) By way of this writ petition, the petitioner has inter alia prayed for the following reliefs:- “i. That in view of the submissions made in the writ petition, the writ petition may kindly be allowed and the impugned rejection order dated 18.04.2026 may kindly be quashed and set aside. ii. That the respondent department may kindly be directed to transfer the petitioner from Tribal area to soft area.” 2. The limited grievance of the petitioner is that despite the fact that he has completed normal tenure of three years in a Tribal area, he is not being transferred out of the tribal area. 3. Learned Deputy Advocate General has apprised the 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 Court that the petitioner remained posted in District Shimla throughout his career and now again, it is not possible to adjust him in district Shimla for want of vacant station. 4. Having heard learned Counsel for the parties, this Court is of the considered view that as the petitioner has already completed his normal tenure in a Tribal area, he now be transferred out of the tribal area and posted in a non-tribal area. In light of the fact that earlier the petitioner has remained posted only in District Shimla, it is observed that the petitioner be transferred to any other station in the State, be it in District Solan or in District Bilaspur.
