A RAVINDRA BABU (CENTRAL GOVT COUNSEL) The Court made the following: 3 THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE SUBHENDU SAMANTA CRIMINAL PETITION NO: 3521 of 2026 ORDER: The Instant Criminal Petition has been preferred seeking specific direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Rajampet to dispose of the application of the petitioner herein, who was arrayed as accused No.1, filed before the Court on 07.02.2025. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that quite few occasions the matter was appeared before the learned Magistrate but the application was not taken up for disposal. 3. Learned counsel for respondent No.1 submits that they are ready to comply with the order of the learned Magistrate in terms of the application of the petitioner filed on 07.02.2025. 4. Having heard the learned counsel for parties, it appears that the application of the petitioner filed under Section 6(2)(d) and (1) of Passport Act, 1967 is pending since February, 2025. One year has already been elapsed, the learned Jurisdictional Magistrate must have taken care to dispose of the application while passport authority is ready to carry out direction. 5. Considering the same, the instant Criminal Petition is disposed of, with a direction to the learned Jurisdictional Magistrate to dispose of the application vide 4 Crl.M.P.No.71 of 2025 in C.C.No.346 of 2022, on the file of learned Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Rajampet, which was filed on 07.02.2025, as early as possible, most preferably on the next date of hearing without giving un-necessary adjournments to either parties.
