This petition, purportedly in public interest, has been filed by the petitioner seeking to question the work order dated 05.05.2026 issued by respondent no.4 in favour of respondent no.5 with regard to conducting the cattle fair. 2. Submissions have been made that the work order has been issued on 05.05.2026 for the financial year 2026-27 and the date indicated in the work order is for one year from 30 April 2026 which is beyond the financial year which ends on 31 March 2027. 3. Filing of a petition, purportedly in public interest, with the plea sought to be raised, clearly reflects that the petitioner has some personal axe to grind and there is no public interest involved. The very fact that the contract for the year 2026-27 was accepted on 30 April 2026 by the Executive Officer, which auction had taken place for a period of one year, the grant of work order from 30 April 2026 for a period of one year cannot be faulted. 4. There is no substance in the petition, the same is therefore, dismissed.
