ORDER ON BOARD 25/03/2026
1. This contempt petition has been filed by the petitioner under Article 215 of the Constitution of India under Section 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 alleging willful non-compliance of the order dated 06.03.2025 passed by this Court in WP(C) No. 1225/2025.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though the Collector, Sakti has considered and decided the representation submitted by the petitioner, however, it has not been decided as observed in the order subject matter of the contempt.
3. I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the order dated
06.03.2025.
4. The operative part of the order dated 06.03.2025 passed in WP (C) No. 1225/2025 is extracted below for ready reference:-

“6. In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to approach the Respondent No. 3/Collector, Sakti along with a copy of this order and in such event, the Collector, Sakti is directed to decide the pending representation dated 27.12.2024 (Annexure P/2) in accordance with law and on its own merits, within a period of 50 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.”
5. Perusal of the above extracted operative portion of the order would show that the petitioner was directed to approach the Collector, District - Sakti along with the copy of this order and direction was issued to the Respondent/Collector to decide the pending representation dated 27.12.2024 in accordance with law. Undisputedly, the Respondent/Collector, District – Sakti has decided the representation dated 27.12.2024.
6. In the above facts of the case, in the opinion of this Court, the Respondent/Collector has complied with the direction issued by this Court vide order dated 06.03.2025 and therefore, the contempt petition is dismissed.
