Sandhawalia, Chief Justice (oral) The prayer in the present writ petition is for directions to the respondents to finalize the tender in favour of the petitioner for empanelment as Chemist for wholesale dealer located nearby MGMSC Khaneri, Tehsil Rampur Bushahr, District Shimla as taken out vide Expression of Interest dated 17.09.2025 (Annexure P-7). 2. Notice. Mr. Rakesh Dhaulta, learned Additional Advocate General, appears and waives service of notice on behalf of the respondents-State. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner has taken us through the paper book pointing out that the petitioner has filed various 1 Whether reporters of Local Papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 representations and while referring to Annexure P-9 dated 02.02.2026 and Annexure P-10 dated 24.03.2026 filed to respondent No.2, he submits that the said respondent be directed to take a decision and finalize the tender, since the delay was adversely affecting implementation of government flagship health schemes and impacting the public trust. 4. Keeping in view the above, we are of the considered opinion that the petition can be disposed of with a direction to the competent authority to take a decision to finalize the tender, in accordance with the procedures prescribed, within a fixed time frame. 5. Needless to say that we are not commenting upon the merits of the case of the petitioner, in any manner that he has to be awarded the contract, since he has only come forward for the fact that the issue should be finalized. 6. Resultantly, we dispose of the present writ petition with a direction to the concerned competent authority to take a decision on the representations dated 02.02.2026 (Annexure P-9) and 24.03.2026 (Annexure P-10) filed by the petitioner, within a period of two weeks from today.
