It is the contention of the petitioner that initially the Committee for regularisation of unauthorised occupation rejected his application for regularisation of unauthorised occupation of 3 acres 20 guntas and 8 annas in Survey No. 27 of Hithalahalli Village, Kasaba Hobli, Kunigal Taluk, Tumkur District. However, in an appeal preferred before the Assistant Commissioner-Tumkur Sub-Division, the Assistant Commissioner set aside the resolution passed by the Committee and directed the Committee to reconsider the application after conducting a spot inspection to determine whether the petitioner is in possession of the subject land or not. Thereafter, the committee having been convinced that the - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:10531 WP No. 3446 of 2026 petitioner is in unauthorised occupation of the land, proceeded to pass a resolution on 20.01.2018 recommending grant of lands in favour of the petitioner. Thereafter, an official memorandum dated 17.03.2018 was issued by the Tahsildar and the petitioner paid the T.T.fine and kimmath of Rs.5,128/-. saguvali chit was issued on 21.03.2018 as found at Annexure- B. However, the name of the petitioner has not been entered in the revenue records. 3. The writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondent-Tahsildar, Kunigal Taluk, to verify the records and find out if grant was made in favour of the petitioner, if kimmath was paid and whether saguvali chit was issued in favour of the petitioner. If it is found from the records that the facts stated hereinabove are true, then the Tahsildar shall proceed to enter the name of the petitioner in the revenue records. The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
