Personnel Officer (Enq.), Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Lim- ited, Vidyut Bhawan, Jyoti Nagar, Jaipur-302005 ----Respondents For Petitioner(s) : Mr. D.N. Sharma. For Respondent(s) : -- HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE MUNNURI LAXMAN Order 07/04/2026 1. With the consent of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the matter has been taken up and heard for final disposal at the admission stage. 2. The present writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned penalty order dated 26.11.2024 (Annex.1) whereby, the petitioner was imposed punishment of Censure. 3. The grievance of the petitioner is that against the impugned order of penalty, the petitioner has already filed a statutory appeal and the same is pending without passing any orders therein. [2026:RJ-JP:14291] (2 of 2) [CW-19353/2025] According to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the said appeal was filed in the month of January, 2025. It is also submitted that even after passing of more than one year, the appeal has not been disposed of by the Appellate Authority. Therefore, he has approached this Court by way of the present writ petition. 4. Having considered the submissions, this Court finds that there is no justifiable reason for the Appellate Authority to keep the appeal pending for such a long period, therefore, this Court is inclined to dispose of the present writ petition with necessary directions to the Appellate Authority. 5. In the result, the present writ petition is disposed of directing the Appellate Authority to consider and decide the pending appeal of the petitioner within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
