1. This is a writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following prayer:-
“a) Issue a writ of mandamus or any other suitable writ,
order or direction directing the respondents to consider and decide the representation dated 20.02.2026 of petitioner institution for enhancement of seats for D.El.Ed. course from 01 unit to 02 units in a time bound manner preferably within 01 week. ...”
2. For the reasons stated in the petition, issue notice.
3. Mr. Kapoor, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. This is a digitally signed order. 4. The facts of the case are that the petitioner applied for grant of recognition of D.El.Ed. Course to the respondent No. 2.
5. On 20.05.2016, the petitioner was granted approval for intake of one basic unit. Thereafter the petitioner submitted a representation dated 20.02.2026 to the respondent No. 2 for enhancement of annual intake from 1 to 2 units.
6. The said representation has not been considered.
7. Since the petitioner is only seeking
consideration of his representation, I am of the view that the petition can be allowed directing respondent No. 2 to consider and decide the petitioner’s application expeditiously and not later than 4 weeks from today.
8. With these directions, the petition is disposed of.
