As per the statements made by the parties to the lis, they have settled the matter in terms of the order dated 22.06.2026, passed by the learned Mediator, which is Ex. C-1. 2. The petitioner has agreed to receive a sum of Rs.2,50,000/- from the respondents on or before 22.09.2026. The respondents have agreed to pay the said amount on or before 22.09.2026, in terms of the compromise being arrived at between the petitioner and the respondents, therefore, the judgment passed by the learned 1 Whether reporters of Local Papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 2026:HHC:25410 Civil Judge (Junior Division), Karsog, District Mandi (HP) (in short ‘learned trial Court’), in Civil Suit No.41 of 2008, titled, Parkash Verma vs. Ganga Ram and others, is modified and the respondents are directed to pay an amount of Rs.2,50,000/- to the petitioner on or before 22.09.2026. In case the respondents do not pay the amount on or before 22.09.2026, they shall also be held liable for disobedience of the undertaking given before the Court, as well as for violation under the Contempt of Courts Act. 3. Accordingly, the judgment and decree dated 27.08.2009, passed by the learned trial Court, is modified and the respondents are directed to pay an amount of Rs.2,50,000/- to the petitioner on or before 22.09.2026 in terms of Ex. C-1, i.e. order dated 22.06.2026, passed by the learned Mediator. In addition to this, the petitioner shall be at liberty to file an application for release of the amount, which has been deposited by him before the learned trial Court, in terms of the decree dated 27.08.2009, passed in the aforementioned case and the learned trial Court shall release the amount in his favour alongwith up to date interest by remitting in his Bank Account. 4.
