Petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking following reliefs:- “10.1 That, petitioner most respectfully prays that this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent no. 1 to consider the representation of petitioner and appoint her on the post of Assistant Professor, Mathematics, as ALFIZA BAIG Digitally signed by ALFIZA BAIG Date: 2026.02.25 11:30:54 +0530 2 / 3 advertised in Annexure P/1, and the list of selected candidates with Waiting list, in accordance with law. 10.2 That, this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue appropriate writ for the Appointment of the petitioner. 10.3 Any other relief or reliefs that may be deemed fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case may kindly be granted also. 10.4 Cost of the case may also be granted.” 2. Learned counsel for petitioner submits that petitioner had submitted an application for appointment on the post of Assistant Professor (mathematics) as OBC category candidate. After publication of final select list, name of petitioner was placed in waiting list. He submits that after publishing of the advertisement and during course of proceedings of proceedings of recruitment, post of physically handicapped candidates were raised from five to seven and out of ten post of OBC category only nine were filled. One post of OBC category is still vacant. Petitioner has submitted representation before respondent no. 1 on 19.10.2022 which is pending consideration, therefore, direction be issued to respondent authority to consider and take decision on pending representation at the earliest within specified time frame. 3. Learned counsel for respective respondents submits that in view of limited prayer made by learned counsel for petitioner, they are having no objection. 4. I have heard learned counsel for respective parties. 5. On due consideration of submission made by learned counsel for the respective parties, I find it appropriate to dispose of this writ petition at this stage, directing respondent no. 1 to consider and take decision on pending representation vide Annexure P-4 dated 19.10.2022, in 3 / 3 accordance with law, expeditiously, preferably, within a further period of two months from the date of receipt of the Order. 6.
