------ For the Petitioner(s) : Mr. Kaustav Roy, Advocate For the Respondents : Mr. Ranjan Kumar, AC to Sr.SC-I
Mrs. Richa Sanchita, Advocate
------
02/ 14.05.2026: The petitioner has got no fundamental right or any legal right to continue as a member of the managing committee of the private school.
2. The petitioner in this writ application has challenged the action of respondent-JAC, whereby a fresh managing committee has been constituted, before the expiry of the term.
3. It is the case of the petitioner that the term was to expire in the year 2025 but before that in the year 2024 the managing committee was reconstituted by the respondent-JAC and the petitioner and others have been removed.
4. After hearing the parties, I find that admittedly the term of the managing committee is for three years. The managing committee was constituted in the year 2022, now we are in the year 2026 and this writ application was filed on 12.05.2026 i.e. admittedly after lapse of the original term.
5. Thus, considering the aforesaid fact, no relief can be granted to the petitioner, accordingly, this writ application is dismissed.
