Mr. Rajveer Singh, Advocate, for the petitioner. Mr. Narayan Datt, Standing Counsel, for the State. (2) Petitioner participated in the selection for the post of Assistant Teacher, Govt. Primary School, held in District Pauri Garhwal and District Nainital. Petitioner was called for document verification/counselling by the competent authority in District Pauri Garhwal, however his name did not figure in the list of finally selected candidates. Petitioner contends that his name was shortlisted for document verification/counselling in District Nainital also, however he could not appear as he was called for document verification/counselling in District Pauri Garhwal on the same date. By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought the following reliefs:- “(a) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature Mandamus commanding and directing the respondents to verify the educational and training documents of the petitioner for the post of Assistant teacher in Government Primary School in Science Subject under Schedule Category male pursuant to the advertisement dated 07.11.2025. (b) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding and directing the the respondents to consider the candidature of the petitioner for the post of Assistant Teacher in Government Primary School in District Nainital in Science Subject under Schedule Category male pursuant to the advertisement dated 07.11.2025.” 2026:UHC:888 (3) After arguing for a while, learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner be permitted to make representation to the competent authority in District Nainital. (4) Learned State Counsel submits that he has no objection if the writ petition is disposed of in terms of the prayer made by learned Counsel for the petitioner. (5) Writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of granting liberty to petitioner make representation to District Education Officer (Elementary), Nainital. If he makes representation within one week from today, decision thereupon shall be taken, as per law, within six weeks thereafter.
