After addressing the arguments for some time, joint memo is filed by both the parties. Memo reads as under: “That the undersigned counsel for the petitioner submits as follows: That the petitioner has paid an amount of Rs.1,00,000/- to the respondent and agreed to clear the balance amount of Rs.3,00,000/- in three equal installments. a. Rs.1,00,000/- in the month of June. b. Rs.1,00,000/- in the month of July. c. Rs.1,00,000/- in the month of August. That the respondent has agreed to receive the amount in the months mentioned in the memo. Wherefore, it is respectfully prayed before the Hon’ble Court to dispose the above matter in terms of the memo, in the interest of justice.” - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:20864 CRL.RP No. 352 of 2023 2. Learned counsel for the respondent has endorsed no objection the said memo. 3. Placing the memo on record, revision petition stands disposed of. 4. It is made clear that if the compensation amount as agreed in the memo is not paid by the revision petitioner, imprisonment ordered by the learned Trial Magistrate confirmed by the First Appellate Court stands restored automatically.
