By way of this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution, the petitioner assails an order dated 15.04.2026, passed by the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, Delhi, which affirmed letters dated 12.09.2025 and 27.09.2019, issued by the Joint Commissioner of Police, Licensing, New Delhi, by which the license for his revolver was suspended, pursuant to registration of an FIR against him. 2. At the outset, Mr. Yasir Rauf Ansari, learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State, who appears on advance notice, raises a preliminary objection that a petition of this nature should have been filed as a civil writ petition and not as a criminal writ petition. 3. Without getting into the merits of the issue, Ms. Sunita Arora, learned counsel for the petitioner, seeks permission to withdraw this petition, with liberty to file a civil writ petition for the same relief.
