NARENDRA PRASAD ORAL ORDER This writ petition is filed under Articles 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India, seeking the following reliefs: “(i) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to fix the monthly pension of the petitioner from the date of his superannuation and pay the arrears forthwith and also continue to pay the monthly pension regularly as and when it falls due as per representations dated 13.12.2024 and 11.04.2025 (Annexures C and E). (ii) Direct the respondents to pay the interest @ 18% per annum on the arrears of monthly pension payable to the petitioner from the date of his retirement till the date of the payment and; (iii) Direct the respondents to pay litigation cost of Rs.50,000/- to the petitioner.” - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:12116 WP No. 37106 of 2025 2. The case of the petitioner is that he was working as a Professor at the first respondent - University and retired on 31.03.2024. Thereafter, he submitted the pension papers seeking retirement benefits. Since his application was not considered, the petitioner is before this Court. 3. The learned counsel appearing for the first respondent - University submits that, if the petitioner submits a representation along with the necessary documents to the first respondent, the same will be considered in accordance with law. 4. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the petitioner is permitted to submit an additional representation to the first respondent within two weeks from today.
