JUSTICE DEVASHIS BARUAH ORDER Date : 28.08.2026 This is an application filed by the Petitioners alleging willful and deliberate violation of the order dated 25.11.2024 passed in WP(C) No.6187/2024 whereby a direction was issued to the Respondents to proceed in the matter in respect of the notice of demand dated 12.11.2024 issued to the Petitioners but no final order should be passed without the leave of the Court. 2. Irrespective of the said order, an Order of Attachment of the immovable property was made on 31.12.2024. It is on the basis thereof, the present contempt application has been filed. 3. Pursuant to the order passed by this Court on 25.08.2026, an affidavit has been filed by the Contemnor/Respondent No.2 tendering unconditional apology for misreading the order dated 25.11.2024 passed in WP(C) No.6187/2024 and attaching the Page No.# 3/3 Asitpur Tea Estate without the leave of the Court. It is also mentioned that the Order of Attachment dated 31.12.2024 was withdrawn vide a notice of withdrawal dated 26.08.2026. 4. Taking into account the affidavit filed by Contemnor/Respondent No.2, this Court duly accepts the apology and accordingly, drops the present contempt proceedings. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
