Chowdhury, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners. Also heard Mr. K. Baishya, learned APP for the State of Assam. 2. By this application, the petitioners have prayed for the privilege of pre- arrest bail in connection with Rangia P.S. Case No. 143/2026, registered under Sections 61(2)/196(1)(a)/118(2)/109(1)/308(5) of the BNS, 2023. 3. The First Information Report, in connection with which the petitioners are apprehending arrest, was lodged on 09.06.2026. It is stated therein, inter alia, that the informant had gone to a dhaba run by accused No. 1 to purchase food. At the dhaba, he noticed pictures of various goddesses being displayed and asked accused No. 1 to remove the said pictures. Thereafter, he collected his food and returned home. It is further alleged that on 08.06.2026, the informant got involved in an argument with the owner of the dhaba, pursuant to which the accused persons named in the FIR allegedly assaulted him. 4. It is further seen that all the four petitioners were enlarged on interim pre- arrest bail by order dated 02.07.2026 subject to certain conditions including the condition that they should make themselves available for examination by the Investigating Officer. 5. Mr. K. Baishya, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State submits upon perusal of the case diary that in compliance with the said condition the petitioners have appeared before the Investigating Officer and Page No.# 3/3 their statements have been recorded. 6. In view of the aforesaid, it appears that the petitioners have cooperated with the investigation. Accordingly, this Court deems it appropriate to make the order dated 02.07.2026 absolute subject to the further condition that the petitioners shall continue to comply with all the conditions stipulated in the said order dated 02.07.2026. 7.
