ORDER 24.08.2026
Heard Mr. RK Nath, learned counsel for the applicant and Ms. SH Bora, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam. By this application filed under Section 5 of the Limitation Act, 1963, the applicant has prayed for condoning the delay of 16 days in filing the connected Criminal Revision Petition.
Learned counsel for the applicant has placed Paragraphs- 4 & 5 of the said Interlocutory Application, wherein it was stated that after the judgment and
order was passed on 31.03.2026 the applicant had applied for the certified copy and that he received the same on 06.05.2026. It is thereafter stated that the applicant had contacted the counsel for filing of the Criminal Revision Petition and that the same caused the delay of 16 days and the said revision petition could be filed only on 05.08.2026. This Court is satisfied with the reasons given in Paragraphs- 4 & 5 of the said Interlocutory Application and deems it fit to condone the delay of 16 days in filing the connected Criminal Revision Petition.
